Meet the Team
LeeAnne Thwaite
My name is Leeanne and I am “Pigs on Snook” I’ve been a member of Cavy West for 9 years or so now. I have a passion for Lilac Guinea pigs. I have a small stud near Fremantle. I have exhibited at the National Cavy Show in Narrandera.
I enjoy the diversity of my friends who I have met through showing and breeding cavies. I often take all the photo’s at the shows and enjoy displaying them for all to see on my “Pigs On Snook” Facebook page. Showing cavies is a fun thing to do once a month. Come along and find out

I had Kelmscott area pet guineas in 1972. Occasionally my mum said yes, I could breed one litter. Two high school friends came round to look at my babies in 1974....they said: "That baby is called a Tortoiseshell & White....its quite a good one. We're in a new Club showing guinea pigs...bring him along". My Dad had bred exhibition marked breeds of rabbits in England in the 50's - he took me to the shows, held in the chook sheds at Claremont Showgrounds. So my passion for Torty & White started right there!
Stud name Clover-Leaf nicked from a big Quarter Horse Stud of the day that advertised in Hoofs & Horns magazine. Have bred Tortoiseshell & White to my personal best level ever since, have sold stock to found majority of studs around Australia since late 1970's. Shown all of that time for minor awards but great personal satisfaction. First travelled to National Show in 1993....wonderful to be part of the Australia wide fancy. Last few years have been going to National most years. In 2017 had a huge personal best, winning Best Marked Cavy at a National Show with a tsw! Very happy breeder.
